According to information from the Snakebite Treatment Department, while gardening, Mr. Le Van Tam (44 years old, residing in An Thanh Thuy commune) was bitten by a red-tailed green pit viper on the instep.
The man immediately chased after the snake, put it in a plastic bag, then rode his motorbike to Dong Tam Snake Farm for treatment and showed the snake to the doctor.

After receiving, the doctors treated the wound and followed the treatment protocol.
It is expected that in 2-4 days the patient will recover and be discharged from the hospital.
Doctor Nguyen Van Tuan, Head of the Snake Bite Treatment Department of Dong Tam Snake Farm, said that recently, the Snake Farm receives an average of 5-7 snakebite cases per day for treatment.
Because this is the rainy season, especially in the West, it is flood season, so snakes often move from their habitats and crawl into residential areas, causing the rate of snake bites to be higher than normal.
