The Provincial Party Secretary directed to accelerate the progress of implementing the adjustment of the Gia Lai Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc expressed his excitement at the performance of fishing ports in recent times as well as the development potential of the province's fisheries sector in the coming years. He emphasized that if investment is made in the right direction, even though the resources are small, the results will be huge. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the potential and advantages of the sea, creating momentum for local economic development; at the same time, it is necessary to study and complete the Project to relocate ships anchored in the Quy Nhon fishing port area and De Gi lagoon area to anchor in the Tam Quan fishing port area. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop a comprehensive project to ensure the development of the entire industry. The project needs to consider the entire value chain - from exploitation, processing, to consumption, export, associated with career conversion, human resource training and application of science and technology; the issue of synchronous connection between traffic infrastructure, seaports, processing plants, fishery logistics services as well as solutions to ensure social security for fishermen. The Provincial Party Secretary noted that the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches should coordinate with the Central Ministries and branches to adjust the planning and investment plans that need to be implemented soon, in order to maximize resources and facilitate socio-economic development.
