Binh Thuan won 22 medals at the National Phu Dong Sports Festival

The Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the People's Committee of Hai Phong City has just organized the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival - 2024 with the theme "Phu Dong Youth - Firm Steps to the Future".

This year's Phu Dong Sports Festival has the participation of more than 20,000 student athletes and officials from 63 provinces and cities across the country, competing in 15 sports in 2 stages. Participating in this year's National Phu Dong Sports Festival, the Binh Thuan province student sports delegation has 74 athletes, competing in 5 sports: Vovinam, Traditional Martial Arts, Taekwondo, Chess and Athletics.

After 10 days of competition (July 26, 2024 to August 6, 2024), the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 271 sets of medals to outstanding athletes in 15 events. With the spirit of noble sportsmanship and utmost effort, the Binh Thuan Student Sports Delegation won 22 medals, including 6 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 12 bronze medals in 4 events: Vovinam, Traditional Martial Arts, Taekwondo, Chess and ranked the entire delegation 24th out of 63 participating provinces and cities.

The 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival is the largest ever, demonstrating the attention and support of local authorities at all levels for the education sector, and at the same time signaling the rapid growth of school sports. The Phu Dong Sports Festival is a high school sports festival held every four years, aiming to continue to maintain and promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", encouraging and motivating high school students to regularly practice and compete in sports in school, improve health, develop physical fitness, and contribute to comprehensive education.
