Exciting sports festival of Hanoi press

The Hanoi Journalists Association Sports Festival was organized to carry out the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", promote the sports movement among the press community of the capital and the press in the area; towards the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Journalists Association (December 16, 1988 - December 16, 2023), 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

The sports festival attracted the participation of many press agencies in Hanoi .

On behalf of the Hanoi Journalists Association, delivering the opening speech, comrade To Quang Phan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, the athlete delegations of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Journalists Associations of the provinces: Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh , the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications and 20 central press agencies, ministries, branches in the area and the press agencies of the capital attending the Sports Festival taking place at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium - Hanoi.

Comrade To Quang Phan said that the Hanoi Journalists Association organized the expanded Health Festival with the aim of contributing to improving the health and spirit of members, officers and employees of press management agencies and press agencies to better serve their work; at the same time, creating a competitive atmosphere, completing well the political tasks in professional work and propaganda work of each unit and press agency.

The Sports Festival is a practical cultural and sports activity responding to the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies" and "Criteria for cultural press agencies and culture of Vietnamese journalists" jointly launched and organized by the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association and Nhan Dan Newspaper.

According to comrade To Quang Phan, in 2023, the Sports Festival will continue to receive the attention and enthusiastic support of the leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Hanoi People's Committee, the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Management, Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium, the Hoan Kiem District Culture, Information and Sports Center; Journalists Associations of other provinces and cities, the General Directors-Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief, Secretaries of the Inter-Association Branches, Journalists Associations of Central and Hanoi press agencies.

"It can be affirmed that the Sports Festival is a healthy, useful and meaningful sports playground, demonstrating solidarity, attachment and exchange between journalist members, officers and employees of Hanoi press agencies with press management agencies, central press agencies, ministries and some Journalists Associations of provinces and cities," comrade To Quang Phan shared.

The Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association believes that with the noble and honest sportsmanship of the athletes, with the experience of controlling tournaments of the professional referee team, the support of sponsors, the enthusiastic cheering of a large number of fans, I believe that the 28th Hanoi Journalists Association Sports Festival in 2023 will take place in an exciting, enthusiastic and successful manner - this is truly a "Sports Festival of the press" in Hanoi.
