In the first 6 months of 2025, under the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Military Command has effectively implemented local military and defense tasks. In particular, the focus is on building the provincial armed forces in the direction of "streamlining - compactness - strength", in accordance with the characteristics of the 2-level local government organization.

Agencies and units in the provincial armed forces have reviewed and arranged the deployment of forces according to the roadmap, closely following the practical situation, ready to handle complicated situations in the area.

At the conference, leaders of regional defense commands and commanders of 135 commune and ward military commands pointed out the advantages and difficulties in advising local Party committees and authorities on carrying out military and defense tasks.

Notably, the issue of ensuring operating costs for the militia force; difficulties and obstacles in military recruitment in 2026; planning of regional defense command barracks and commune-level military command offices in accordance with the local general planning.

Regarding the direction for the last 6 months of the year, Commander of the Provincial Military Command Nguyen The Vinh requested agencies and units to focus on the task of building the provincial defense zone; military and defense tasks in border areas, seas and islands.

At the same time, organize emulation movements associated with building "exemplary, typical" units; closely coordinate between national defense and security in a position to firmly protect strategic areas.

Maintain strict combat readiness and coordinate to protect border security, sea areas, and national sovereignty. Keep abreast of the situation to quickly handle political security situations, social order and safety, and avoid being caught off guard, especially in border areas, remote areas, and isolated areas.

Strengthen inspection and direction of work on protecting secrets, information security and network security. Continue to deploy the "Digital Education for the People" movement and promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the provincial armed forces.

Actively advise on organizing command and staff exercises, combat readiness, disaster prevention and control exercises, rescue exercises in accordance with reality, ensuring strictness and absolute safety. Continue to build and improve the quality of activities of the militia and self-defense force; perfect the staff of the commune-level military command and militia and self-defense force after merging administrative units.

The Commander of the Provincial Military Command also requested that the provincial armed forces must always be the core force in mass mobilization activities, support in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue, increase assistance to people, and strengthen people's trust in local Party committees and authorities.
