The movie in which Hoang Thuy Linh plays the main role is considered one of the failed projects of 2023 because it gets bogged down in rambling, bland details.

No Fear of Getting Married, Just One Reason is a project of Vietnam Television Film Production Center VFC, airing on VTV from September 21.

The film is expected to be a new "blockbuster" when it gathers a cast of multi-generational, talented actors such as Meritorious Artist Phu Don, Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy, Thanh Binh, Nhan Phuc Vinh, Trong Lan, Quynh Luong, Manh Dung, Trung "ruoi", Bao Han, Quang Anh... However, the reality is completely opposite.

The movie "Don't be afraid to get married, just need a reason" starring Hoang Thuy Linh is considered one of the failed projects of 2023.

A talented cast can't save the plot holes.

Not afraid to get married, just need a reason revolving around Yen (Hoang Thuy Linh) and Dong (Trong Lan) - two brothers in a well-off family in the countryside, both past marriageable age but still single.

Yen – a talented and confident girl when she took up the position of director at the age of 30. She has impossible criteria for choosing a life partner.

Meanwhile, Dong is a young master of the village, living without dreams, without aspirations and declaring that he will not marry. To him, having a lot of inheritance left by his grandfather is also a form of talent. Therefore, Dong just needs to live well, not break the law and wait for the day to receive the inheritance.

To change the situation, Mr. Trong (Thanh Binh) and Mr. Mao (Meritorious Artist Phu Don) used every way, even "tricks" to put pressure on their two children and grandchildren.

"Don't be afraid to get married, just need a reason" is disappointing despite gathering a talented cast.

It was thought that the film would bring many funny and sad situations or reflect the lives of young people who are under pressure leading to them taking marriage lightly. However, after 20 episodes of Don't Be Afraid to Marry, just one reason makes the audience bored because of the long-winded and unfocused plot.

The proof is that even though 2/3 of the way through, the relationship between the characters Yen - Phong, Dong - Huyen does not have much progress, or in other words, just stagnant.

In addition, all the developments of the film revolve around the back and forth between the boss and the employee with trivial situations or the story of Mr. Trong's family and Mr. Mao's family in the countryside. The content is spread out, making the audience feel that the film is intentionally prolonged without a climax and lack of drama.

In addition, many situations in the film are exaggerated and lengthy, such as pretending to be sick to force children to meet their lover, checking the other person's background like an interrogation... Some viewers commented that the film is no different from a comedy skit, trying to make people laugh but is bland.

Hoang Thuy Linh's acting was criticized for being stiff.

In the viewership rating chart of currently airing TV series, No Fear of Marriage, Just a Reason has a low rating of 3.7%.

This figure has remained virtually unchanged since the show aired. Previously, VTV's primetime shows often maintained a rating of over 4%. With the current developments, Don't be afraid to marry, just need a reason is predicted to continue to drop in rating (viewership rate) to a record low.
