Localities honor outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs

On the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2023), localities organized meetings, discussions, and honored typical businesses and entrepreneurs.

On the afternoon of October 10, the People's Committee of Ky Anh Town and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board jointly organized a meeting program with businesses to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2023).

Also attending were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha, leaders of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, Ky Anh town and nearly 300 businesses representing more than 1,300 businesses in the area.

Currently, in Ky Anh town, there are 175 investment projects, including 119 domestic investment projects with registered capital of more than 62,000 billion VND; 56 foreign investment projects with registered capital of more than 16 billion USD.

In particular, a number of major projects in the area have been completed and put into operation, promoting local socio-economic development, such as: Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Complex and Son Duong Port; Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (capacity 1,200 MW); Vung Ang Petroleum and Oil Depot (storage capacity of 60,000 ^m3 ); North Central Liquefied Gas Depot (storage capacity of 1,785 tons); Vung Ang Port (berth number 01, berth number 02); VINES Vung Ang Battery Factory has put into production the first solar panels.

There are currently over 1,300 businesses and thousands of business households in the area. In the first 9 months of 2023, businesses in the town contributed most of the province's budget revenue with a total budget revenue of VND 6,058 billion (accounting for over 50% of the province's total budget revenue).

Along with the development of production and business, enterprises also have many social security activities, supporting the construction of essential infrastructure for the locality, contributing significantly to the construction of the southern urban area of ​​Ha Tinh province to become more and more spacious and modern.

In the general difficult conditions, many enterprises have been proactive, promptly innovated their operations, and been flexible in approaching and expanding the market. The business community of Ky Anh Town is always proactive, creative, overcoming difficulties and continuing to stabilize production and business.

Despite the general difficult conditions, with the attention and support of the Party Committee and government from the district to the grassroots level, along with the efforts of the business community and entrepreneurs, production and business activities are increasingly effective, contributing significantly to the process of restructuring and economic growth of the district.

Up to now, Nghi Xuan has 478 enterprises, 41 cooperatives, 40 cooperative groups, 70 branches, 16 representative offices, 89 business locations and 4,694 business households. Since the beginning of the year, 52 new enterprises have been established. In the first 9 months of 2023, the total tax collected from all types of enterprises and cooperatives in the area reached 19 billion VND.

Many enterprises, cooperatives, and business households have actively participated in implementing social policies such as sustainable poverty reduction, gratitude, education promotion, and joining hands in building new rural areas.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Nghi Xuan District People's Committee Le Anh Dung hoped that enterprises, cooperatives and business households would continue their production and business activities, fulfill their obligations to the State; invest in technology and equipment innovation; boldly transform production and business structures, industries and produce highly competitive products.

The district will continue to accompany businesses, maintain regular dialogues and exchanges on each topic, and be truly open with businesses and entrepreneurs to jointly resolve and thoroughly handle difficulties and problems.

At the meeting, Nghi Xuan District People's Committee honored 25 typical enterprises and businessmen in production and business, with many contributions to socio-economic development.

In recent years, the work of developing enterprises, cooperatives and cooperative groups in Vu Quang district has always received attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels.

Up to now, the area has 132 enterprises, 41 cooperatives, 163 cooperative groups and 1,380 small and medium-sized production and business households with a total registered capital of over VND2,000 billion, creating jobs for thousands of workers with salaries ranging from VND4 to 10 million.

At the dialogue, in the spirit of frankness and responsibility, many enterprises, cooperatives and cooperative groups discussed and pointed out the remaining problems and shortcomings in production and business.

Many opinions focused on reflecting that the production and business activities of enterprises still face many difficulties; there are not strong enough synchronous solutions to develop enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups... Some enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups have not really boldly invested in new fields, do not have specific solutions in business, and have not promptly taken shortcuts to catch up with the market...

In the spirit of openness and listening, the leaders of Vu Quang district have directed relevant departments and functional branches to directly answer the problems that enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups are concerned about and request solutions.
