The delegation had working sessions with the Cuban Journalists Association, the Ideas Multimedios agency and the Prensa Latina News Agency. The two sides agreed to affirm that the press is the vanguard force on the ideological front, and that each press agency must devote itself to the revolutionary cause of the country and the progress of society; at the same time, they shared ways to train and improve professional skills in the context of digital transformation, handling false information to protect sovereignty in cyberspace; developing multi-platform journalism and applying technology and artificial intelligence.
In a friendly atmosphere, the two sides also shared experiences in propagating and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation, improving the quality of foreign information, and strengthening the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
President of the Cuban Journalists Association Ricardo Ronquillo Bello affirmed that the Cuban press is always interested in promoting the country and people of Vietnam and the special brotherly friendship between Cuba and Vietnam in general, and the substantive and effective bilateral defense relationship in particular.
On behalf of the delegation, Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that on their glorious revolutionary path, the people of the two countries have always stood side by side, shared hardships and challenges, and rejoiced at the victories of the two countries' revolutionary causes. The Vietnamese people will never forget the immortal declaration of leader Fidel Castro: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood."
During the visit and working session with Cuba, the People's Army Newspaper delegation visited and respectfully laid a wreath at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in the park named after him in the capital city of Havana.
