Traffic police were hit by a speeding driver.

Quang Tri Captain Ho Van Huynh was hit and injured in the leg by a young man in Dakrong district while on duty on National Highway 9.

At about 7:45 p.m. on September 26, Captain Huynh and the working group of the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Province patrolled and controlled National Highway 9.

Discovering Ho Van Hoan, 20 years old in Dakrong commune, driving at high speed, the working group signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection. However, Hoan did not comply and drove his motorbike straight into Captain Huynh. The collision injured his right leg and he was taken to the Dakrong District Medical Center for emergency treatment.

Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that Hoan could not present any relevant documents. On the afternoon of September 27, Dakrong District Police issued a decision to temporarily detain Hoan for "Resisting a person on official duty".
