Many Lao children receive gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival at the border.

On the evening of October 2, at Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School, Huong Lap Commune, Quang Tri Province, the Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with accompanying units and local authorities to organize the 4th Vietnam - Laos "Border - Full Moon Festival Night" program in 2025 for children and teenagers in the border area.

Attending the program were Comrade Hoang Nam, Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh, Commander of Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command; Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Political Commissar of Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command.

Also attending the program were comrade Khun Sa May Lin San Nha, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Savannakhet province (Laos); representatives of the Party Committee and government of Sepon district (Savannakhet province).

Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, presented bicycles to disadvantaged students on both sides of the border.

In particular, the participation of nearly 1,200 teenagers and children in the border area, including 200 students and teachers from Avia Primary School; La Co Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Sepon District) created a bustling, joyful and meaningful atmosphere under the full moon of the festival night.

The program brought to children in the border area many colors and emotions of the Mid-Autumn Festival through many folk games, art performances, lion dances and many friendly and meaningful gifts. Spreading the care, support and help of the Provincial Border Guard, local Party Committees, authorities, benefactors, teachers and the whole society so that the children have more conditions to study, practice, play and grow up.

Also on the afternoon of October 2, Huong Lap Border Guard Station organized a "Border Lesson" at marker 591 for more than 400 students on both sides of the border to consolidate knowledge about history, geography and the tradition of solidarity between the two Parties, two states and two peoples as well as the Agreement on border management regulations and land border gates between Vietnam and Laos.

At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded more than 1,300 gifts including 18 bicycles, 01 TV and other gifts worth more than 400 million VND to students, teenagers, children in the border area, schools and border protection forces of Savannakhet province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command directed units on the two border lines to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and accompanying units to organize 33 "Border - Mid-Autumn Festival" programs; presenting 13,500 gifts to teenagers and children in border areas and Con Co special zone with a total value of more than 2.7 billion VND.
