The Youth Union Secretary Club of the Health Sector encouraged the female doctor of K Hospital who had a rare accident.

Immediately after receiving information that resident doctor Hoang Minh Ly (29 years old, working at K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility, Thanh Tri, Hanoi) had an unfortunate accident and was being treated at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. Representatives of the Youth Union Secretaries Club of the Health sector, including Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel ( Ministry of Health ), Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Youth Work Steering Committee of the Health sector and Mr. Bui Dinh Tuan - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Health, visited, encouraged the spirit and gave 30 million VND (contribution of club members) to Dr. Ly.

"On behalf of the youth in the medical industry nationwide, I would like to send my regards and encouragement to Dr. Ly and his family. I wish him to be resilient in overcoming the challenges. The Ministry of Health , the Youth Union Secretariat Club, and the youth union members of the medical industry are always by his side and will support him to the best of their ability after he is discharged from the hospital and returns to work," Mr. Hung shared.

Representatives of the Youth Union Secretary Club of the Health sector came to Hanoi Medical University Hospital to visit and encourage Dr. Ly.

Regarding the health status of female doctor Hoang Minh Ly, doctors at Hanoi Medical University Hospital said that after the rare accident that occurred on the evening of April 20, 2024, Ly was hospitalized with multiple injuries, multiple fractures of the vertebrae, spinal cord damage causing complete paralysis of both legs, multiple rib fractures causing closed chest trauma, bilateral hemothorax, grade 4 liver injury, and grade 2 spleen injury. Currently, the patient is conscious and has a good recovery trend.

It is known that Dr. Hoang Minh Ly - graduated from Hanoi Medical University with a general practitioner degree in 2013 - 2019, completed the oncology residency program in 2019 - 2022, and is currently working at K3 Hospital, Tan Trieu facility.

Not long after taking up the job, a serious accident unfortunately happened to Ly. On the rainy night of April 20, 2024, Ly was hit by a piece of tempered glass from the cafe.

The accident was extremely rare but left behind extremely serious consequences. Ly is currently being treated at Hanoi Medical University Hospital, with a long treatment period. The incident happened so suddenly, the talented and skilled young doctor is at high risk of being completely paralyzed in both legs with little chance of recovery, facing countless difficulties ahead.

Ly was born and raised in a farming family in Dien Dong commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. The family is currently in extremely difficult circumstances as his father is a soldier working far from home, and his mother has Lymphoma - a form of blood cancer with a severe prognosis, and is currently being treated at K3 Hospital. The family is struggling to pay for the long-term treatment of Ly and her mother.
