Speaking at the opening ceremony of a new 1,000-bed hospital in Hanoi, which took place on the morning of September 25, the Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that, in addition to changing thinking from treatment to prevention, from mass care to individual care, hospitals are also shifting from traditional hospitals to smart hospitals.

"With modern and humane healthcare, technology is not the destination, but a tool to serve medical ethics and medical skills.
Every surgical robot, every artificial intelligence algorithm, every cloud computing platform is not used to replace humans, but to help them make more accurate, more humane and more timely decisions. This is the spirit of future medicine, a medicine that is precise, intelligent, but still imbued with human identity," said Professor Thuan.
According to the leader of the Ministry of Health, the Party and State's policy is to encourage the socialization of healthcare, promote public-private cooperation, and strongly develop a system of high-quality private hospitals.
This is also a very specific step to realize Resolution No. 57 on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, Resolution No. 68 on private economic development and especially Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo signed and issued by General Secretary To Lam on September 9 recently.
Promoting the development of private healthcare, mobilizing and effectively using all resources for healthcare development is one of the breakthrough solutions to improve the capacity of Vietnam's healthcare system, contributing to strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
In particular, Professor Thuan highly appreciated the cooperation between public and private hospitals, when the leading surgical hospital is Viet Duc Hospital, the largest special hospital in the North is Bach Mai Hospital and many other public hospitals in Hanoi signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement right at the event this morning.
The Deputy Minister of Health affirmed that the Ministry of Health is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for the development of medical projects, contributing to improving the capacity of public health care.
