The TV show commemorating the '70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Reunification Train' promises to bring many emotions.

On August 28, at the August 2024 Press Conference organized by the Department of Information and Communications of Dong Thap province, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station informed about the TV Bridge Program commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train (1954 - 2024).

Accordingly, towards the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Assemblage Train (1954 - 2024) and with the approval of the policy of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee, Thanh Hoa Province and Dong Thap Province, Ho Chi Minh City Television in coordination with Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, Dong Thap Radio and Television Station developed a plan to organize a wide-ranging propaganda campaign, in which the focus is the TV Bridge Program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Assemblage Train (1954 - 2024).

The program aims to review the heroic fighting tradition of the nation, demonstrate the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", express deep gratitude to the cadres, soldiers and students of the South in the past who did not hesitate to sacrifice and endure hardships to go to the North to study, work, build socialism in the North, and prepare all-round forces to liberate the South and unify the country.

Thereby, contributing to introducing and promoting tourism and enhancing the image and people of Dong Thap "Friendly, dynamic, creative" to bring them closer to localities and tourists nationwide.

The program is expected to last 120 - 140 minutes and will be broadcast live on Ho Chi Minh City Television, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television, Dong Thap Radio and Television and other domestic Radio and Television stations at 6:00 p.m. on September 1, 2024.

The event will be held at 3 locations: Memorial area of ​​the Unnumbered Train, Brigade 125 - Naval Region 2 (Cat Lai Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City); Memorial area of ​​Southern compatriots and soldiers who gathered in the North in 1954 in Sam Son City (Thanh Hoa Province) and the National Historical Site of the Gathering in the North in 1954 in Cao Lanh (Ward 6, Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province).

70 years ago, the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam was signed, opening a new page in the struggle for national liberation and reunification of our people. President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee made a strategic decision to send a large number of children of cadres, soldiers and compatriots from the South to the North to continue their studies, in order to train cadres for the Party's long-term revolutionary cause.

This was not only a normal troop transfer, but also a troop transfer with the strategic vision of our Party to foster and train a team of cadres and soldiers to both contribute to the cause of building socialism in the North and prepare forces for the struggle to liberate the South.
