According to SGGP Newspaper's reporter, the project of 3D printer production and software services, product manufacturing services on 3D printers using carbon fiber polymer materials of Arevo Vietnam - Arevo Vietnam Company Limited has terminated its investment activities at Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP).
The reason for the termination of Arevo Vietnam's operations is that the investor has not been able to produce carbon materials, leading to increased costs, creating finished products that cannot compete in the market, and due to the pandemic, the company is no longer able to maintain its research and development team.
On January 27, 2021, the SHTP Management Board held a business meeting in early 2021, thereby granting an investment registration certificate to the project of manufacturing 3D printers and software services, product manufacturing services on 3D printers using carbon fiber polymer materials of Arevo Vietnam, with a total investment of 19.5 million USD. The project at that time was quite attractive, especially the project of manufacturing bicycles using 3D printing technology of Arevo Company, founded by former CEO of Facebook Vietnam Le Diep Kieu Trang and her husband, Mr. Sonny Vu.

Online community accuses Idiegogo project of fraud |
The climax of the incident was recently when the online community condemned another fundraising project of Mr. Sonny Vu on the Idiegogo page. This project also involved 3D carbon printing and this time it was scooters instead of bicycles, with more than half a million USD donated by users to the project... However, Idiegogo is currently locked because many people complained that it was a "scam project".
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of SHTP Management Board, SHTP Management Board has recorded the termination of Arevo Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s investment project on the national information system on foreign investment. The suspension of the above project by Arevo Vietnam Co., Ltd. does not affect the general operation of SHTP because this is a project to rent a ready-built factory.
