On the afternoon of June 19, continuing the program of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly , National Assembly deputies of Hai Duong province discussed in group 14 the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue and the Law on People's Air Defense.

Commenting on the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue, delegate Nguyen Hai Hung affirmed that the promulgation of this law is very necessary. According to the delegate, the current risk and reality of fire and explosion is very clear, and the causes are also many. Through direct participation in two supreme supervision delegations of the National Assembly, it can be seen that there are almost no new causes of fire, mainly due to electrical short circuits and great damage due to lack of escape routes.

"These causes are not new and are still existing. It is difficult for houses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to arrange a second opening and about 70% of the fires are caused by electrical problems. Among them, there are houses that have been built for decades, the electrical system is prone to short circuits and fires," delegate Nguyen Hai Hung stated the current situation.

Delegate Nguyen Hai Hung also agreed with the opinion of delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, on the proposal that there should be regulations on the model of housing combined with business and production in the law and this type also needs to be approved for fire prevention and fighting safety.

From the practical experience of fire prevention and fighting in recent times, delegate Nguyen Hai Hung suggested that it is necessary to focus on promoting the role of the inter-family fire prevention and fighting safety team and that there should be regulations on this force in the law.

Also interested in giving comments on the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue, delegate Nguyen Ngoc Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, said that the planning of fire prevention and fighting infrastructure in practice still has many shortcomings and requested clarification in this draft law. At the same time, the standards and regulations on fire prevention and fighting in Article 9 of the draft law are unclear and need to be studied and clarified, closely following relevant regulations and policies.
