On March 3, Hoc Mon District Police (HCMC) are investigating a large fire at a production facility cluster in Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District, which burned down many properties.

According to initial information, at around 3:00 p.m. on March 3, residents living in Hamlet 1, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District, saw a fire on a land area of ​​about 2,000 square meters. This land is surrounded by a corrugated iron fence, inside are production facilities.

The fire then spread, black smoke rising high over the area.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoc Mon District Police dispatched many vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene. While the firefighters were putting out the fire, several explosions were heard from inside the fire area.

Firefighters split up to approach the fire from many directions, while pumping water directly from a nearby canal to put out the fire. Authorities dismantled the fence and used water hoses to spray water on the large fire.

The fire caused many iron frames and corrugated iron roofs inside the production facility to collapse.

According to local residents, inside the fire area is a cluster of manufacturing facilities such as mattresses, wood, and tire shops located next to each other.

According to the scene, by 4:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. Smoke was still spreading inside the production facility, and authorities continued to use water cannons to extinguish the fire. Deep inside, many of the iron frames and corrugated iron roofs of the production facility collapsed.

The cause and damage caused by this fire are being investigated by the police.
