At the first flag-raising ceremony of the new school year at Le Quang Sung Primary School (Thanh Khe Ward), officers from the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4, City Police directly instructed teachers and students on fire and explosion prevention. The atmosphere was lively as the students learned about the causes, how to recognize and handle fire and explosion incidents; observed the use of fire extinguishers, participated in fire-fighting practice and escape skills in hypothetical situations.

Tran Le Huy, a student of class 5/3, said: "The lesson was very interesting because I got to practice and learn about fire escape skills. This knowledge is very necessary for us to protect ourselves and support our friends in dangerous situations."

Teacher Ngo Xuan Chung, Vice Principal of Le Quang Sung Primary School, said that right from the beginning of the school year, the school coordinated with the Fire Police and Rescue forces to organize propaganda and training for all teachers and students.

The content combines theory with visual practice such as using fire extinguishers and escape skills.

"With a vivid and easy-to-remember way of teaching, students can practice right in the schoolyard, helping them form self-awareness, know how to behave when an incident occurs, and at the same time spread awareness of prevention and safety protection to their families and the community," said Mr. Chung.

In addition to propaganda, the Fire Police and Rescue Police of the City also organize firefighting and rescue drills at schools.

Recently, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4 coordinated with UK Academy International Bilingual School Da Nang (Thanh Khe Ward) to organize a drill for teachers and students of the school.

In the hypothetical situation of a fire in the kitchen quickly spreading to the school area. As soon as the alarm sounds, teachers quickly guide students to move to the safe exit, while maintaining order to avoid jostling and pushing.

The on-site fire fighting force deployed initial fire fighting measures and immediately contacted the fire police and rescue force for rescue.

The drill helps teachers and students practice reflexes, improve coordination skills, and proactive awareness in case of incidents, contributing to building a safe school environment and effectively preventing fire and explosion risks.

According to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, propaganda and training on fire prevention skills for teachers and students at the beginning of the school year is very necessary. This not only equips them with incident response skills but also contributes to forming awareness of self-protection and protecting those around them. Experiencing and practicing hypothetical situations helps teachers and students remember longer, react more quickly, contribute to building a safe school environment and spreading the spirit of proactive fire prevention in the community.
