Through the program, the organizers hope to spread the message of environmental protection, encourage people to raise awareness of preserving green - clean - beautiful landscapes, and actively participate in environmental protection activities for a sustainable life.

The Clean Up the World campaign was launched globally by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 1993. To date, the campaign has become one of the largest environmental activities in the world, with the participation of many countries, including Vietnam.
