Mobile police officer returns 40 million VND to the person who lost it

(CTO) - According to Can Tho City Police, Private Tang Minh Phu, a soldier of the Mobile Police Team, Mobile Police Department of Can Tho City Police, has just returned lost property to Mr. Huynh Khanh Huy (born in 2000, residing in Phong Dien commune, Can Tho city).

At 4:00 a.m. on September 2, while patrolling to ensure security and order in the area, Mr. Phu picked up a wallet containing 40 million VND in cash, along with personal documents bearing the name Huynh Khanh Huy.

After picking up the lost property, Mr. Phu reported to the Team Commander and the leader of the Mobile Police Department, then coordinated with Hung Phu Ward Police to conduct verification procedures, contact and hand over the property to the owner, Mr. Huynh Khanh Huy.

Mr. Huy said: On the evening of September 1, he rode a motorbike from Can Tho to Vinh Long , stopped at the old Can Tho bridge toll station to buy water and accidentally dropped his wallet, which contained his personal papers and money he had saved over the years. The next morning, Mr. Huy went to Hung Phu Ward Police to report. At noon of the same day, Mr. Huy received a notice from the Ward Police about the discovery of the wallet, money and papers intact, then came to receive the property...

Touched by the sense of responsibility and shining example of Mr. Tang Minh Phu, Mr. Huy wrote a thank you letter, expressing his respect for the beautiful actions of the officers and soldiers of Can Tho City Police.
