Soldiers of Regiment 174 return property swept away by flood to people

On October 2, while helping the people of Ban Ben village (Viet Hong commune, Lao Cai province) clean up their houses, belongings, and mud around residential areas, 3 soldiers of Regiment 174 (Division 316, Military Region 2) including Corporal Lo Van Nhat (Company 7, Battalion 2), Corporal Lo Van Nghia (Company 9, Battalion 3), Corporal Bon Van On (Company 9, Battalion 3) discovered a phone and gold earrings buried in mud. Immediately, the 3 soldiers reported to the commander and returned the property to Ly Van Huan's family.

Mr. Ly Van Huan, a resident of Ban Ben village, said: The sudden flood on the evening of September 29 devastated Viet Hong commune, especially Ban Ben village. His house was flooded about 1.5 meters deep, many belongings were damaged and swept away. Fortunately, at about 9:30 a.m. on October 2, he recovered some of his belongings found by soldiers of Regiment 174; including a Samsung phone and a pair of earrings belonging to his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thu. The family is very grateful and thankful to the soldiers.

Leaders of Division 316 and Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union and soldiers returned property to Ly Van Huan's family.  

It is known that currently, 400 officers and soldiers of Division 316 and Division 355 (Military Region 2) are not afraid of difficulties and hardships, together with local forces, to overcome the consequences of floods in key communes and wards that have been heavily affected in Lao Cai province, making efforts to help people stabilize their lives soon.

The beautiful actions of soldiers Lo Van Nhat, Lo Van Nghia, and Bon Van On demonstrate the noble qualities and personalities of revolutionary soldiers, strengthening the relationship between the army and the people.
