The Hanoi City Technical Innovation Competition is organized to promote the creative labor movement of all levels, sectors, organizations and individuals in the field of science and technology, promote the effective application of technical topics and solutions in production and life, contributing to socio -economic development. Thereby, it aims to honor collectives and individuals and select excellent works, topics and technical solutions to participate in the National Technical Innovation Competition.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest Le Hong Son said that Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU of the Politburo has set out the direction and tasks for the development of the Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as the Capital Law 2024, effective from January 1, 2025, has identified Hanoi as a major center of science, technology and innovation.
Currently, the entire political system of the city is focusing its efforts on bringing the Capital Law into life, which includes many very important contents on science , technology and innovation. The Law creates a superior, unique mechanism, fundamentally solving difficulties and obstacles in scientific research, technology development, and application of scientific and technical advances to the city's socio-economic development.
Hanoi is home to a large number of scientific and technological intellectuals in institutes and schools, and highly skilled workers and engineers in factories and enterprises in the fields of industry, agriculture and services. Hanoi is also home to many innovative initiatives and inventions in the country.
Through the contest, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Hong Son hopes that the valuable resources and practical experiences and life experiences of many classes of people will come up with many initiatives and products to immediately serve the urgent and practical issues of the capital such as: planting, caring for and managing trees, especially ancient trees and heritage trees; waste, environment, river and lake pollution, development of the Red River...
On that basis, Standing Vice Chairman Le Hong Son requested departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns in Hanoi to have documents to deploy plans, mobilize organizations and individuals with creative solutions in management and operation to participate in the Contest. At the same time, he believes that there will be many units and individuals participating with many initiatives and solutions worthy of the scientific and technological intellectuals and highly skilled workers of the Capital; there will be many city-level awards awarded and many quality awards selected to participate in the 18th National Technical Innovation Contest, 2024-2025 and the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) in 2025.
Regarding the information about the contest, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Science and Technology Associations, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee Le Xuan Rao said that the second contest has some changes and new features to be more suitable and better implemented such as: The contest was launched 6 months earlier than the first time to have more time to prepare; the fields of the contest were also adjusted accordingly. Specifically, creative solutions in management and operation of agencies and units belonging to field 1 this time were moved to field 6; "Transportation; construction" belonging to field 2 was moved to field 3; the tasks of the members of the Organizing Committee were assigned right in the Contest Regulations to help units have a basis for implementation.
All Vietnamese organizations and Vietnamese individuals at home and abroad, and foreign individuals working and living in Vietnam who have topics or solutions and applications contributing to the construction and development of Hanoi from 2019 have the right to participate in the Contest. Topics and technical solutions to compete in 6 fields: information technology, electronics, telecommunications; mechanics, automation; materials, chemicals, energy, transportation, construction; agriculture, forestry, fisheries, natural resources and environment; medicine, pharmacy; education and training, creative solutions in management and operation of organizations.
The topics and technical solutions submitted to the contest are evaluated according to three criteria: novelty and creativity; wide applicability; and specific socio-economic efficiency.
