Shocked by the sand mine auction price in Quang Nam: From 1.8 billion to more than 138 billion VND

The winning price was 76 times higher than the starting price.

On June 25, Duy Xuyen District People's Committee and Hoa Thuan Joint Stock Auction Company organized an auction for the right to exploit minerals for common construction materials at DX6B sand mine (Phu Bong village, Duy Trinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam ).

After 11 rounds, Han Hien Hau Trading and Service Company Limited, located in My An village (Dai Quang commune, Dai Loc district, Quang Nam) won the auction for the mining rights at this mine with a price of more than 138 billion VND, 76 times higher than the starting price.

DX6B sand mine has a reserve of nearly 197,000m3, the starting price of more than 1.8 billion VND was finalized by the enterprise at more than 138 billion VND.

The above auction winning price is the mining right fee, excluding taxes and fees such as resource tax, environmental protection fee, environmental restoration deposit, VAT, corporate income tax, etc.

At this price, the converted value of exploitation rights per cubic meter of sand is up to more than 700,000 VND.

A series of other sand and gravel mines also closed at "huge" prices.

On June 19, Hoa Thuan Joint Stock Auction Company represented the People's Committee of Dai Loc district to organize the auction of mineral exploitation rights for 6 mines, including 3 mines exploiting sand and gravel. The auction results of the 3 mines had a very large difference in winning bids compared to the starting price.

Recently, Quang Nam province has organized auctions of a series of sand mines in the area, aiming to publicize and make transparent mineral exploitation activities, while also hoping to stabilize the price of construction sand, which is increasing abnormally.

However, many opinions say that the reality is not as expected. Currently, the price of sand fluctuates from 600,000 to 800,000 VND/m3, causing great pressure on people and construction businesses.

Starting price: 3.46 billion VND
