DNO - On the afternoon of January 10, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang visited and presented gifts to orphans, sick children, and children in difficult circumstances at Hoa Binh Village, Quang Nam.

Hoa Binh Village Quang Nam is a social assistance facility, performing the functions of receiving, managing, caring for, nurturing, and rehabilitating children in special circumstances, the elderly, people with disabilities, veterans, resistance fighters, and their children with disabilities due to exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin during the war.

In addition, the unit also cares for and supports other social subjects in need of social assistance and provides social work services in accordance with the law.

Hoa Binh Village in Quang Nam is taking care of 147 people, including: 2 infants (under 24 months old), 42 orphans, 72 disabled people and 31 elderly people (including 23 disabled elderly people).

The unit also does a good job of tutoring children from primary to high school; closely monitors 10 children studying at vocational schools, colleges and universities. As a result, in the 2024 - 2025 school year, the facility has 5 good students, 3 excellent students, 1 student with outstanding movement activities, 1 student won third prize in scientific research...

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang praised the achievements at Quang Nam Peace Village in recent times, as well as kindly inquired about the lives and health of the children who are being cared for, raised, and studying; especially wishing them a meaningful and happy Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also hopes that cadres, employees, and teachers will continue to be a support in both life and spirit so that children can develop comprehensively, overcome illnesses and difficulties in life, and become useful citizens to society.

On this occasion, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang presented gifts to representatives of the leaders of Hoa Binh Village, Quang Nam; and presented 40 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to 40 orphans, disabled children, and children in difficult circumstances living and studying here.
