Construction of 3 roads with total capital of nearly 800 billion VND started in An Giang

TPO - On the morning of September 27, An Giang simultaneously started construction on three key traffic projects with a total capital of nearly 800 billion VND, opening a new "blood vessel" connecting the Bay Nui region, reducing traffic congestion, and stimulating local tourism and economy.

Three projects have been started, including: the belt road project parallel to provincial road 942; the Sam Mountain cultural park bypass - bridge over Xang canal; the project to upgrade and expand Huong Lo 11 (connecting Tan Lap commune center with provincial road 945).

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony of projects and works to welcome the 1st An Giang Provincial Party Congress.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the simultaneous implementation of 3 projects has important significance in connecting traffic infrastructure between regions, creating momentum to promote socio -economic development, and improving people's lives.

When completed, the routes will open up new development space, helping to transport and circulate goods conveniently, reducing traffic congestion during peak times. At the same time, it will contribute to attracting tourists to the Bay Nui area, especially during the festival season of Ba Chua Xu Nui Sam.

Mr. Thuc praised the efforts of departments, branches, investors, local authorities, households affected by the project, and consulting, supervising and construction units who actively supported the preparation and site clearance work, ensuring progress so that the groundbreaking ceremony could take place smoothly. The Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to continue to accompany and create conditions for the projects to be completed on schedule, ensuring quality and soon put into operation.

According to the An Giang Provincial Project Management Board, the belt road parallel to Provincial Road 942 has a total investment of 150 billion VND and is 3.6km long.

The bridge project over Xang canal under the Nui Sam cultural park roundabout project has a total capital of 425 billion VND.

The project to upgrade and expand Huong Lo 11 has a total capital of 222 billion VND, with a total route length of 22km.
