Nearly 100 businesses from Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Korea, India... along with thousands of visitors turned this event into a vibrant forum for cooperation, technology exchange and business connection.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's exhibition aims at three major goals: introducing advanced technology, creating opportunities to connect businesses to expand cooperation, and promoting sustainable development through greening, digitalization, artificial intelligence and smart cities.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared: “Since its first organization in 2019 in Hanoi , the exhibition has affirmed its position as a prestigious event in the industry. This year, we want to create more momentum, helping businesses not only display products but also find partners and solutions to develop together.”

Vietnam - China Business Connection Conference

One of the most anticipated activities is the Vietnam-China Elevator Business Connection Conference. This is an open exchange space where businesses from both countries can frankly discuss solutions, share visions and seek long-term cooperation.

Mr. Wang Deyang, Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau (Ministry of Commerce of China), emphasized three directions of cooperation: research - manufacturing - maintenance; promoting smart and greening of the industry; and connecting the "Belt and Road" initiative with Vietnam's "Two Corridors, One Belt".

Smart technology leads the trend

Mr. Vo Hong Son, Chief Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Office in the Central and Southern regions, commented: “The event is not only a place to introduce technology but also an important bridge for businesses of the two countries to work together towards a smart, green and sustainable elevator industry.”

In fact, the global elevator industry is growing strongly. The market size is estimated to reach 17.5 billion USD in 2024 and is expected to reach 28.4 billion USD in 2032, with an average growth rate of 6.2%/year. The prominent trends are smart elevators, energy saving, IoT applications and artificial intelligence.

In Vietnam, more than 480,000 elevators are in operation, each year the need for new installations is about 40,000 - 45,000 devices, associated with the rapid urbanization process. This is the "fertile land" for new technology, especially smart elevators, to explode.

Vietnam-China cooperation: dual benefits

Vietnam’s elevator industry currently has more than 300 enterprises, supplying tens of thousands of products each year and gradually participating in the global supply chain. However, to keep up with the requirements of industrialization and smart urbanization, it is necessary to access more advanced technology.

Mr. Vo Hong Son believes that cooperation with Chinese enterprises – which are pioneers in smart and energy-saving elevator technology – will bring double benefits. “Vietnamese enterprises access modern technology, improve production capacity, while Chinese enterprises expand the market and build supply chains in Vietnam. This is a complementarity, together creating a combined strength.”

Big businesses join in

Many large Chinese corporations have expressed their commitment to long-term cooperation. Mr. Duong Khiet, Technical Director of Guangzhou-Guang Nhat Elevator Company, said that the company has more than 60 years of experience and is in the top 10 global manufacturers.

“We will bring to Vietnam smart, green, safe and durable elevator products, serving diverse needs from hotels, high-rise buildings, hospitals to transport infrastructure such as railways, airports, subways. At the same time, we will cooperate closely with local enterprises in large projects, contributing to the development of modern urban areas.” – Mr. Duong Khiet shared.

According to him, Quang Nhat's smart manufacturing technology and digital, energy-saving solutions can accompany social housing projects, commercial complexes, as well as key infrastructure projects in Vietnam.

Prospects ahead

Vietnam International Elevator Exhibition 2025 is not only a place to display new technology, but also a testament to the strong shift of the Vietnamese elevator industry - from a consumer market to a proactive role in cooperation, production and deeper participation in the global value chain.

With a solid commercial foundation, large market demand and a clear commitment to cooperation, the Vietnam-China elevator industry is facing the opportunity to enter a new phase of deep and effective cooperation. That not only meets the needs of infrastructure development, but also contributes to building a modern, smart and safe urban area - where each elevator not only moves people, but also carries the expectation of a sustainable future.
