O Sen Ngoc Mai's 'ex-husband' was punished for spreading malicious rumors about her

The Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. THP for posting false rumors that defamed the reputation and honor of singer O Sen Ngoc Mai.

It is known that Mr. THP had a wedding ceremony but had not registered his marriage with singer Ngoc Mai.

Previously, information posted by Mr. THP on social media was spread, stating that singer Ngoc Mai and artist Quoc Nghiep had been secretly dating while abroad.

The child of singer Ngoc Mai and artist Quoc Nghiep could be Mr. THP's biological child.

Mr. THP also accused singer Ngoc Mai of having an affair in his house.

Immediately afterwards, O Sen Ngoc Mai reported this incident to the authorities.

According to the minutes of the meeting with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Mr. THP had contacted, discussed and asked singer Ngoc Mai to help deal with personal matters but was refused.

Mr. THP then created a Facebook account named "Phuoc Tran", then changed it to "Phuoc To" to post two articles containing the above false information.

Mr. THP admitted that some of the content in the two articles was untrue and realized that transmitting this untrue information to members of the Facebook group "Anti Ngoc Mai" to spread on the internet was a violation of the law.

The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention determined that the information Mr. THP provided was false and Mr. THP also admitted his actions.

On March 20, the Chief Inspector of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City decided to administratively fine Mr. THP 7.5 million VND for posting false information that insulted the honor and dignity of an individual.
