EVNNPT Chairman of the Board of Directors inspects the progress of the 500 kV line circuit 3 project

The delegation included Mr. Hoang Van Tuyen, Director of the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB); Mr. Tran Kim Vu, Deputy Director of NPMB; representatives of EVNNPT departments and units participating in the project.

The 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project was implemented from the end of October. With a length of about 74.4 km including 2 circuits from the 500 kV Nam Dinh I power plant distribution yard to the 500 kV Thanh Hoa transformer station, the project passes through the 3 provinces of Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, and Thanh Hoa.

This is one of four component projects of the 500 kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach ( Quang Binh ) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) with a total length of about 515 km, passing through 9 provinces.

Once completed, the project will help reduce the load and avoid overloading of existing 500 kV lines, ensuring the N-1 criteria, especially when the transmission capacity is high along the North-Central interface at a time when hydropower plants in the North have low generation.

The line also helps to increase the stable transmission reserve on the North - Central interface, combined with the 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi thermal power plant sections, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.

After the field inspection, EVNNPT Board of Directors Chairman Nguyen Tuan Tung acknowledged and highly appreciated the contractors participating in the project for mobilizing human resources, vehicles and machinery to implement the project.

EVNNPT leaders said that recently, thanks to the strong direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, many ministries, branches, agencies, and localities, and the regular attention of the leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the project has soon completed legal procedures to be able to start construction from the end of October.

To ensure the project progress according to the direction of the Prime Minister and EVN, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNNPT requested the construction contractors, design consultants, supervision consultants, and compensation consultants to continue to increase their workforce to speed up compensation and site clearance; the construction contractors should focus on implementing the construction immediately after the site is available. At the same time, mobilize maximum resources, give the highest priority to the project to complete the project according to the target.

EVNNPT leaders also requested NPMB to proactively coordinate closely with localities in site clearance, and urge contractors to immediately organize construction; strive to complete the project on schedule and with quality, contributing to ensuring electricity supply for the North in the coming time.

At the meeting, representatives of the units participating in the project affirmed that this is a key project to ensure the country's energy security. Therefore, the contractors will concentrate their efforts and closely coordinate with the investor to ensure the construction progress and meet the investor's goals.

The 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project has EVNNPT as its investor. The project management unit is NPMB. The design consultant is a joint venture of Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 and the Energy Institute. The supervision consultant is Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4. The construction unit (package 5) is a joint venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company and Song Da 11 Joint Stock Company.
