According to VNA, this afternoon (July 18), the Party and State solemnly held a ceremony to award the Gold Star Order to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 108 Central Military Hospital.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member and President To Lam announced the decision and awarded the Gold Star Order to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Medal Awarding Ceremony was attended by all members of the Politburo , members of the Secretariat, a number of staff assisting the General Secretary, and representatives of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's family.
The decision to award the Gold Star Order, the Party and State's noble award to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, is the Party, State and People's recognition of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's great and especially outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation.
