General Secretary To Lam: Vietnam will always stand side by side with Cuba

(Dan Tri) - At the reception for the President of the Cuban National Assembly, General Secretary To Lam emphasized his determination to consolidate and further strengthen the special friendship, traditional solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

On the afternoon of October 1, at a reception for President of the Cuban National Assembly Esteban Lazo Hernández, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam will always stand side by side with Cuba to continue to strengthen the exemplary brotherly relationship, solidarity, and loyalty between the Parties, States, and people of the two countries.

The General Secretary emphasized the determination of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to consolidate and further strengthen the special friendship, traditional solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.

According to the General Secretary, the relationship between the two Parties is the political foundation and orientation for developing bilateral cooperation in all fields.

The President of the Cuban National Assembly highly appreciated the results of Vietnam's support and cooperation in improving agricultural production capacity towards ensuring food security for Cuba, implementing renewable energy projects, producing consumer goods in Cuba, and joint ventures in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

The President of the Cuban National Assembly also appreciated Vietnam's contributions to Cuba's economic development through investment projects in the Mariel Special Economic Zone and Cuban localities.

The President of the Cuban National Assembly affirmed that the Cuban Party, State and National Assembly always pay attention to and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to do business and invest in Cuba and believes that it will attract more Vietnamese enterprises to Cuba.

At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam shared some of Vietnam's great experiences and lessons learned during the 50 years of defending and building the country, building socialism, nearly 40 years of Innovation and development as well as strategic orientations and policies in the coming time.

The General Secretary welcomed and highly appreciated the proposals of the Cuban National Assembly Chairman in strengthening cooperation between ministries, branches, localities and socio-political organizations of the two countries.

At the same time, coordinate in directing education and propaganda work and enhancing understanding among the people and young generations of the two countries about the tradition of special relations between Vietnam and Cuba.
