Solemn opening of the 1st Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations

On September 23, in Hanoi, the first Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term solemnly opened with the participation of 346 delegates representing more than 5,000 Party members in the Party Committee. Speaking at the opening of the Congress, comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, stated that the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations for the 2025-2030 term has a very important political significance, not only laying the foundation for the leadership of the Party Committee in this term but also orienting the leadership of the Party Committee in the following terms.

Comrade Do Van Chien emphasized that the Congress of Delegates of the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term is the first Congress to follow the new model, comprehensively leading the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and people's organizations.

With the theme: "Building a clean and strong Party organization; strongly innovating thinking and leadership methods; gathering and mobilizing people of all walks of life to promote democracy and the strength of great national unity, unanimity and joining hands to enter the era of developing a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country", the Congress has the task of comprehensively and deeply assessing the results of implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term; determining the main directions, goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, reviewing the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; discussing and giving opinions on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party; implementing the Politburo's decisions on personnel work.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Creativity - Innovation - Development", Comrade Do Van Chien requested the delegates attending the Congress to promote democracy, concentrate their intelligence, discuss enthusiastically, and contribute many valid opinions to the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party. Especially the contents related to the innovation of the Party's leadership method; the content of the action program of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Thoroughly grasp and well implement the guiding ideology of the Politburo and the Secretariat that General Secretary To Lam directed when handing over the decision to establish the Party Committee and establish the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: "The new model must have new thinking, new ways of doing things, and create new results".

Identify three breakthroughs

The Congress will set out the directions, goals, tasks, key solutions, comprehensive leadership and direction of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State; fulfill the core political role, promote the people's mastery, consolidate, strengthen, and promote the tradition and strength of great national unity; unite and join hands to realize the aspiration to build a prosperous, strong, civilized, and happy socialist Vietnam in the new era.

The Congress's political report sets out 5 directions, 10 groups of targets, 8 key tasks, 15 groups of solutions, and 3 breakthroughs to be focused on during the 2025-2030 term.

Three breakthroughs were identified as: Innovating leadership methods according to new models, new thinking, new ways of doing things, new results; strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, residential areas, close to the people, proactively serving the people; focusing on training, fostering, evaluating, arranging, and effectively using the staff, especially the heads of Party committees, agencies, and units, focusing on training cadres through practical activities, closely linking theory with practice, saying and doing.

During the term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels strive to mobilize 45,000 billion VND from social resources, of which 10,000 billion VND will be mobilized through the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels and over 35,000 billion VND through social security programs. Every year, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front implements at least 10 programs, monitoring contents nationwide, and providing social feedback on at least 10 draft laws and legal documents.
