Shaking and decreasing for most of the trading time, VN-Index increased by 9 points after the ATC session with the leading momentum of codes MWG, VHM, HPG, MSN.
The market performed poorly from the beginning of the trading session with selling pressure always lurking. The stock code of Mobile World Investment Corporation was stirred up when rumors emerged that it had successfully signed a deal to sell shares of its subsidiary Bach Hoa Xanh to CDH Electric Bee fund. However, a representative of MWG told VnExpress that the information was incorrect. Up to now, the deal to sell shares of this food and essential consumer goods chain has not been completed.
Steel stocks also performed very well today. NKG hit the ceiling with liquidity of over VND487 billion - the fourth highest on HoSE. The remaining two "big guys" HPG and HSG accumulated 2.6% and 6% respectively with active trading. Steel stocks benefited from many signs of recovery in the market, with selling prices increasing continuously over the past time.
Real estate stocks also contributed positively to the general index. A series of stocks such as DIG, CII, VHM, DXG, PDR, NVL all increased by more than 2%. Stocks with lower liquidity had even stronger increases.
