Thai experts do not believe their team will beat Vietnam

Ahead of the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final, Thairath Sport published the score predictions of four Thai journalists, Jay Worapat, Tom Thanarat, Bobo Kerdkrai and Pup Thanthat. Tom Thanarat predicted that Vietnam would win 2-1. Meanwhile, Jay Worapat predicted a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final between Vietnam and Thailand.

Journalist Bobo Kerdkrai predicts that the visiting team Thailand will win 2-1 at Viet Tri Stadium. Journalist Pup Thanthat predicts that the “War Elephants” will win at least 1-0 in the upcoming match.

Thairath Sport also consulted three former Thai players. Athit Sunthonphit, who won the SEA Games gold medal in 2007 and was part of the team that lost to Vietnam in the 2008 AFF Cup final, predicted that Thailand would win 2-1.

Meanwhile, Yuttajak Kornchan, who won the SEA Games gold medal in 2005 with Thailand U23, predicts a 1-1 draw. Santi Chaiyaphuak, a former player of Muangthong United, predicts a 2-1 win for Thailand.
