Transfer many seriously ill patients to Hanoi

(NLDO) - Many patients with serious injuries in the accident between a sleeper bus and a tractor trailer were transferred to Hanoi for further treatment.

Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi) said at noon on February 22 that two seriously ill patients in the sleeper bus collision with a tractor trailer in Son La were transferred to the hospital this morning in a state of severe multiple injuries.

That is female patient PTH (52 years old, in Ha Nam ) with multiple trauma, traumatic brain injury, broken left leg, broken right arm. Male patient N.D.H. (45 years old, in Son La) has multiple trauma, maxillofacial trauma, open fracture of both forearms.

It is expected that today the hospital will continue to receive 3 more patients with multiple injuries due to this accident. The patients include a boy named VGH (9 years old, from Son La) with multiple injuries, chest injuries, left pleural effusion and two 54-year-old women, Mrs. LTN (from Son La), Mrs. NTL (from Ha Nam) with multiple injuries, chest injuries, left thigh injuries...

Viet Duc Hospital said the patients were transferred after the hospital had an emergency consultation via the Telemedicine system with Son La Provincial General Hospital.

Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , at around 11:30 p.m. on February 21, at km 235+100 of National Highway 6 in Sap Vat commune, Yen Chau district, Son La province, a particularly serious traffic accident occurred between a tractor trailer and a passenger bus.

At the above time, the passenger bus with license plate 26F-009.xx driven by Nguyen Dinh Hung (42 years old, residing in My Duc district, Hanoi) traveling from Son La to Hanoi collided with a tractor trailer with license plate 30C-095.xx traveling in the opposite direction.

The accident killed 6 people and injured 8 others. Among the dead were 5 people on the bus and the tractor driver. At the scene, 2 cars were damaged and deformed.

On the morning of February 22, Son La Provincial Police initiated a criminal case and arrested Nguyen Dinh Hung in an emergency.
