If paying to be stuck on a train with zombies sounds interesting, tourists can visit Japan to try this experience.
Zombie Train is an idea of the Nikko city government, Tochigi prefecture to attract visitors this summer.

The zombie train, provided by Watarase Keikoku Railway Company, runs from Omama Station in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture, to Tsudo Station in Nikko, for nine days on weekends from June to September. During the 90-minute journey, zombies on board will try to scare passengers to death. However, the entire train will not be filled with zombies. The event will only take place in the first car, which can accommodate 60 passengers.
Kowagarasetai, a company that operates a haunted house in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture, is responsible for the content and activities that will scare passengers on the train. The zombies are expected to be played by volunteers from Gunma Prefectural High School. The Midori and Kiryu City governments are also cooperating in the project.
Tickets cost 3,500 yen ($26) for adults and 2,000 yen ($14) for children. Reservations can be made through the railway company's website or by phone.

The Tochigi prefectural government also hopes that cruise ship passengers will stop by Ashio, the Edo-era's most productive copper mine. Today, the mine is closed.
