The story of the 'sower' who revived life

Time passed, covering the kindergarten classroom window with a layer of silver dust. Outside, the banyan trees had turned yellow, drooping in the first cool breeze of the season…

Hoang Thi Tuyet Nhung (born in 1994, from Hung Yen ), a young teacher with clear eyes and a gentle smile, gently watches the sleeping children, in a strangely quiet and peaceful space. However, few people know that behind that soft appearance is a strong, resilient heart that has beaten 130 times with life and death, and has thrown herself into cold, rainy nights to race against death, just to exchange for a breath, a smile from a stranger. Her story is not only a journey of sharing but also a beautiful love song about kindness, a living testament to the noble value of life.

Her journey began by chance in 2012, when she was a freshman at Hanoi National University of Education. The first time she donated blood, although she was a little confused and worried, after being consulted, the student realized a simple but powerful truth: "Donating blood is not only safe for you but also a good deed, saving the lives of patients."

From then on, Ms. Tuyet Nhung made a deep vow to herself: "I will spend my youth donating blood and platelets to patients." That vow was not empty, it was realized by numbers - 130 times donating blood and platelets, a number that makes anyone surprised and admired. It is not just an achievement or a number, but 130 times her heart beats in unison with the hearts of those who need to live.

Ms. Tuyet Nhung's kindness does not stop at donating blood. With an open heart, she also performs many other acts, such as donating eggs to infertile families, donating hair to cancer patients and even registering to donate corneas, organs and body after death. She believes: "How to be able to help others when you die, bringing light and life to someone, is the value of life." Every action, whether silent or public, comes from a sincere heart, from the desire to share with difficult circumstances.

She is also an active member of the "Living Blood Bank", always ready to donate blood urgently when called upon. When her friends unintentionally said that what she does is "too free", "wastes time without bringing in income", she just smiled silently. Because for her, the value of life is not money. Sometimes, seeing a patient's smile, or hearing the news that a baby is healthy after surgery, that is the greatest reward in her life.

During more than a decade of volunteering, there was a fateful rainy night that left a deep impression on Tuyet Nhung's mind, becoming the most vivid proof of sacrifice without regard for personal gain.

It was in 2018, when she received an urgent call for help at 1am. A child at the Quang Ninh Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital was in urgent need of blood for heart surgery. Time was the enemy and the child's life was hanging between life and death. Without a second of hesitation, she immediately took a bus from Hung Yen to Quang Ninh. "It was 1am, I took a bus from Hung Yen to Quang Ninh. Sitting in the bus, my heart was burning, even though it was raining heavily and the wind was very cold, but my mind was only thinking about the child in need of blood, thinking that I had to get there, had to be on time. The rain was heavy, the road was long, but it could not compare to the pain of a child," she recounted.

After arriving at the hospital and donating blood, she did not rush back. She lingered, her eyes following every movement of the doctors and nurses, anxiously waiting for each moment. Only when she heard the news that the surgery was successful did she feel relieved and all the tiredness and hardship seemed to disappear.

The story of the teacher with a kind heart has become a strong source of inspiration. As the leader of the "Live to Love" Club, she continues to encourage members to participate in humanitarian blood donations, while sharing knowledge about the role of blood in emergency and treatment. She wants to send a sincere message to young people: "If you are a student or working, if you are healthy enough, you should participate in donating blood and donating platelets to patients so that they have a chance to be happier in life."

The story of that teacher and mother is a gentle reminder that every small act of kindness can create miracles, making life more meaningful and beautiful. Ms. Hoang Thi Tuyet Nhung, a woman with a kind heart, has become a symbol of sharing and love, proving that the true value of life lies in knowing how to give, knowing how to light candles of hope in the midst of the whirling life. Her story is not only a record of a good person, but also a wordless love song, a priceless spiritual legacy that she left for life.
