Late on April 1, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC07) had official information about the fire at a row of houses along the canal in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to PC07, at 7:40 p.m. the same day, the unit received a fire report at the old wood storage yard (320 square meters), located at 124/4 Pham The Hien Street (Ward 2, District 8). Immediately, PC07 mobilized District 8 Fire Prevention and Fighting Team, PC07 Area 1 Team and the River Team to deploy forces and equipment to control the fire.

By 20:50, the fire was completely extinguished.

The total area of ​​fire was 470 square meters, the main fire was old wood and household items. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

As reported by VTC News , at 7:40 p.m. the same day, a fire broke out in a residential area on Pham The Hien Street (near the Y-shaped bridge, District 8).

After discovering the fire, people nearby shouted to each other to put it out but failed. Just a few minutes later, the fire flared up fiercely and spread to some neighboring houses.

Mr. Le Van Hoang (a resident who witnessed the fire) said the fire was so big, the red smoke engulfed an entire row of houses that specialized in selling wooden furniture. Although people mobilized many mini fire extinguishers to approach and put out the fire, they were unsuccessful.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
