Hanoi: Timely rescue of 3 people in a house fire in Ha Dong

On the evening of September 15, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Hanoi City Police promptly rescued a woman and two children trapped in a fire at a 4-storey house on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Ha Dong District.

The fire broke out at 10:12 p.m. in a tube-shaped house about 40 square meters wide with a narrow frontage. The fire started on the first floor and quickly spread up the stairs, creating a lot of toxic smoke that covered all floors, making it impossible for people inside to escape.

Authorities brought the trapped people out.

Immediately upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center mobilized Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Areas 4 and 15, deploying 4 vehicles and 24 officers and soldiers to the scene.

In the fire, 1 adult and 2 children were trapped and were promptly brought out.

The authorities broke the rolling door and used oxygen tanks to reach the upper floors to search for and rescue the victims; another team put out the fire and prevent it from spreading. By nearly 22:30, the fire was under control. Three victims, including one woman and two children (born in 2019 and 2022), were brought to safety.
