Announcing the Decision and launching the State Bank of Region 11

On the afternoon of March 20, in Dak Lak , the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a Decision Announcement and launched SBV Region 11. SBV Deputy Governor Doan Thai Son and Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee co-chaired the Conference.

Attending the Conference were Ms. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council, National Assembly Delegation of provinces in region 11 (Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum , Dak Nong and Lam Dong); Leaders of relevant Departments/sectors, mass organizations, associations, enterprises and cooperations in the area.

On the banking side, there were also representatives of a number of units, departments, and agencies of the State Bank of Vietnam and the Board of Directors, key officials of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 11; Directors of branches of credit institutions in the area.

At the Conference, the leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam announced the Decisions on personnel appointments in Region 11, specifically: Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong holds the position of Acting Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch in Region 11; Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam in Region 11 include: Mr. Vo Van Thanh, Mr. Hoang Minh Tan, Mr. Pham Thanh Tinh, Mr. Le Van Luong.

Leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam presented the appointment decisions to the Heads and Deputy Heads of functional departments.

In which, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 11 includes 05 Central Highlands provinces: Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Nong and Lam Dong. The State Bank of Vietnam Regional Headquarters is located in Dak Lak.

The total number of civil servants and employees in Region 11 before the reorganization was 225 people; after the reorganization, there were 200 people. Civil servants holding leadership and management positions before the reorganization of the organizational apparatus were 63 people; after the reorganization, there were 24 people.

The organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 11 after the reorganization includes 7 departments: State Bank of Vietnam Regional Inspectorate; General Department; Management and Supervision Department 1; Management and Supervision Department 2; Accounting - Payment Department; Currency - Treasury Department; Administration - Personnel Department.

According to the SBV leadership, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference of the 12th tenure on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the SBV has recognized this as an important and urgent political task and has thoroughly grasped the spirit of urgency, making efforts to implement it resolutely and effectively with the highest political determination throughout the system. In just a short time, less than 03 months, the entire SBV system has united, unified, agreed, and with high determination to basically complete the reorganization of the apparatus, ensuring the correct progress and roadmap.

Regarding the State Bank branches in provinces and centrally run cities, the State Bank has completed the reorganization of 63 State Bank branches in provinces and cities into 15 Regional State Bank branches, ensuring the implementation of state management, payment activities, monetary security, and treasury for the banking system.

The restructuring of the State Bank's apparatus, including 15 regional State Bank branches, is the result of serious and drastic efforts by the State Bank's Board of Directors and Steering Committee, implementing the consistent directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on implementing the "revolution" of streamlining the apparatus, which is a key, urgent task of special importance to the country's development in the new era.

In the coming time, the State Bank will continue to implement related tasks to ensure progress, quality and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, meeting the requirements of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee.
