Quang Tri Trading Corporation celebrates its 50th anniversary and receives the Second Class Independence Medal

This afternoon, December 28, Quang Tri Trading Corporation solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary and receive the Second Class Independence Medal.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Chien Thang; Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; provincial leaders of all periods; representatives of the Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association and the Vietnam Cassava Association attended the ceremony. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung sent a congratulatory flower basket.

In May 1973, when part of Quang Tri province had just been liberated, the Ministry of Internal Trade established the Quang Tri Food Department, with the mission of serving the people of the liberated areas and providing food for the Southern battlefield with the slogan "Not a single pound of rice is missing, not a single soldier is missing", contributing significantly to the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country in 1975.

Through many stages of transformation, from Dong Ha Trading Company, Quang Tri General Trading Company, Quang Tri Trading Company, Quang Tri Trading One Member Co., Ltd. to Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company (Company), with constant efforts and striving, the company has become the leading state-owned enterprise of the province.

During the 50-year journey of formation and development, the Company has successfully built an image of a business that is always a pioneer in innovation and creativity with memorable milestones: On November 16, 2016, the State Securities Commission approved Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company to officially become a public company; on February 6, 2017, the Company's shares were officially traded on the Vietnam stock market; on May 14, 2022, launched the Sepon brand organic rice product that meets international standards of the EU, USA...

From purely commercial business, the Company has now operated in all 3 fields: production - business - service and service. Currently, the Company has 13 affiliated units with 600 employees, 4 representative offices abroad. In 2023, the revenue is estimated to reach 1,500 billion VND, contributing over 75 billion to the local budget, the average income is over 13 million VND/person/month, and at the same time bringing indirect income to thousands of local workers. Every year, people earn more than 1,000 billion VND from selling agricultural products such as cassava, rice, pepper, planted forest wood... to the Company.

Along with the organization and excellent completion of production and business tasks, the Company has focused on implementing well the work of Party building, building unions, promoting practical patriotic emulation movements, launching the movements "Good workers, creative and effective workers", "Green, clean, beautiful, civilized workplaces"; "Mass mobilization of the unit towards local authorities - people".

At the same time, responsibly participate in important political tasks of the province such as: building new rural areas, implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", implementing solutions and policies on price stabilization, stabilizing the local market, especially during holidays and Tet. In particular, the Company has focused on activities of gratitude, for the poor, building charity houses for cadres and employees in difficult circumstances...

In his congratulatory speech, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that the Company's important contributions to the province's socio-economic development over the past half century are very proud. Entering the new phase, the provincial leaders believe that the Company will continue to seize opportunities, promote existing potentials and the mettle and experience of an enterprise with a long history to realize sustainable development goals.

Strengthening the application of technology in production and business activities, especially in areas that create driving forces for the province's economy. Always closely following the province's annual socio-economic development programs and orientations, especially the Quang Tri Provincial Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050; the trade development planning to 2025 and a vision to 2030 to build a business strategy in line with the economic integration process.

Besides, continue to perform well the political tasks assigned by the province, fulfill well the responsibility to society, solve employment, ensure social security, join hands to build the homeland of Quang Tri to be more and more prosperous and civilized.

On this occasion, authorized by the President, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung awarded the Second Class Independence Medal and presented flowers to congratulate Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company. Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company awarded cups for contributions to development to 25 outstanding individuals with working time of 25 years or more; awarded "Fund for children" to orphans.

At the ceremony, delegates had the opportunity to interact with witnesses who are Company officers through the years.
