Exhibition Space: from Resistance and Nation Building to the New Era
The exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Post and Telecommunications sector and the 66th anniversary of the Science and Technology sector attracted thousands of delegates and visitors. A notable detail was that the event took place in heavy rain due to the impact of Typhoon Bualoi, but that did not prevent the large and solemn participation. This is the largest-scale event since the Ministry of Information and Communications merged with the Ministry of Science and Technology last March.
The ceremony was honored to welcome the presence of General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with many leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, representatives of ministries, branches, localities and generations of industry officials. The presence of high-ranking leaders affirmed the special attention and strategic position of the two sectors of Post and Telecommunications and Science and Technology for the overall development of the country.
The commemorative exhibition space is elaborately designed according to a timeline structure, recreating five historical stages of the country, from the Resistance War and National Construction (1945-1954) to the New Era.
Here, visitors feel like they are "traveling through time" through a series of outstanding achievements. Historical artifacts associated with the wartime evoke a deep sense of pride: from the Hugo Telegraph used to transmit revolutionary orders, to the SKZ recoilless rifle prototype researched and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia. This weapon is not only an artifact but also a symbol of the intelligence and creative spirit of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war.

Here, a series of outstanding achievements throughout the development journey are displayed, from artifacts associated with wartime such as weapons, telegraph machines, digital switchboards, to modern technology products such as 5G equipment, radar, Vinasat-1 satellite or nuclear reactor models.
Notable is the SKZ recoilless rifle prototype researched and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia during the period 1947-1949. This weapon achieved victory at the Pho Lu battle, contributing to affirming the intelligence and creative spirit of the Vietnamese people in the resistance war.
In particular, the Ministry of Science and Technology has dedicated a booth to display an important book entitled "Ministry of Science and Technology: Inheriting history, looking towards the future - 80 years of the Post and Telecommunications sector, 66 years of Science and Technology sector". The books are arranged in the shape of the number 80 - a symbol of the past historical journey and also an important milestone towards the future.
Emotional highlight: Paying tribute to more than ten thousand martyrs
The most special highlight, touching the hearts of attendees, was the exhibition booth and database of more than ten thousand martyrs of the industry. General Secretary To Lam and Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung looked up this database.
This great sacrifice has confirmed that the Post and Telecommunications and Science and Technology sectors have the highest number of officers and soldiers sacrificed in the resistance wars, second only to the Army. This is a profound reminder of the price of peace and the silent dedication of previous generations.
In addition, a modern digital museum space also attracts a large number of visitors with digitized data of more than 162,000 industry officials through the ages, allowing people to look up personal information, colleagues, or industry leaders.
5G and Robots: Reasserting the central driving force
In addition to reviewing history, the exhibition also introduces modern science and technology products, affirming the industry's determination in the new period.
Viettel's 5G equipment display area attracted special attention, and was assessed by General Secretary To Lam as a strategic infrastructure of the economy. This emphasizes the indispensable role of the industry in creating a foundation for sustainable development.
Other models and products such as the low-emission rice farming model, Misa company's interactive robot, and the 80th anniversary stamp set also contributed to enriching the event.

The interaction of former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and Minister Nguyen Manh Hung with the robot at the Misa booth showed the readiness of leaders at all levels to accept and master new technology.

With great responsibility, the Post and Telecommunications and Science and Technology sector continues to be identified as the central driving force of national development, especially in the context of digital transformation and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution taking place strongly. The event is not only a celebration but also a call for the entire sector to continue to innovate and create to bring Vietnam forward in the digital age.
