Domestic gold prices continue to remain high. Most brands list the buying price at 134.5 million VND/tael; selling price at 136.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 1 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling prices is 2 million VND/tael.
The price of gold rings also increased by 1.1 million VND/tael each way, currently listed at 129.9-132.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Statistics over the past month show that the domestic gold market has recorded an increase. In particular, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by about 7.1-7.7 million VND/tael, the price of gold rings has increased by more than 9 million VND/tael. Thus, each tael of SJC gold bars helps the holder earn more than 5 million VND, while gold rings bring in up to 6.8 million VND.
In the world , gold prices continue to increase, currently trading at 3,808.6 USD/oz. The increase comes from expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will continue to cut interest rates.
In parallel, the net buying power of central banks, expected to reach more than 900 tons this year, and the buying power of gold ETFs have pushed the world gold price to continuously increase.
The US dollar weakened after a strong rally.
The US dollar fell against major currencies such as the euro and the Japanese yen in Monday's trading session, after a strong week on the back of a series of better-than-expected US economic data.
In the domestic market, at the beginning of the trading session on September 30, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong to the USD at 25,192 VND.
