On the afternoon of September 29, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the Ministry of Science and Technology held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the post and telecommunications sector, the 66th anniversary of the science and technology sector and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress.

General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony. Also present were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former Standing member of the Secretariat Phan Dien, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia, along with other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; veteran revolutionaries and generations of leaders, cadres and workers in the postal, telecommunications and science and technology sectors through the ages.
