Thanks to that, the coaching board of the two national men's and women's volleyball teams has an overall view to evaluate the performance of the pillars, as well as new factors to build the force, preparing for the regional congress.

Positive signals from the players
The teams that made it to the semi-finals of the two men's and women's groups this year are considered to have strong forces and show high performance, namely Border Guard, Tan Cang Sports, Ho Chi Minh City Police, LPBank Ninh Binh (men), VTV Binh Dien Long An , LPBank Ninh Binh, Information Corps and Industrial and Commercial Bank (women). In particular, the two final matches took place as expected by fans - exciting and dramatic until the last minute.
Both Border Guard and VTV Binh Dien Long An needed 5 sets to overcome The Cong Tan Cang and LPBank Ninh Binh respectively to successfully defend their championship titles. This is the 4th national title for Border Guard after 2009, 2011, 2024. For VTV Binh Dien Long An, this is the 6th "queen" in their history after 2009, 2011, 2017, 2018, 2024.
Border Guard has participated in 3 finals in 3 consecutive seasons, this achievement comes from the fact that they have a balanced force with the core of national players such as opposite setter Pham Van Hiep, main attacker Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, setter Dinh Van Duy, middle blocker Tran Duy Tuyen and Truong The Khai.
Competing together at the home team and the national team for many years helped them understand each other professionally, compete well and maintain confidence. Therefore, the fact that Ngoc Thuan and his teammates won the championship once again showed their strength, ability and superiority compared to the rest.
Along with Border Guard, two other teams with many national team players in their squad, Tan Cang The Cong and Ho Chi Minh City Police, also had a successful season, finishing second and third respectively. Runner-up of Tan Cang The Cong were setter Phan Cong Duc and libero Cao Duc Hoang.
Meanwhile, main attacker Quan Trong Nghia, opposite player Nguyen Van Quoc Duy, Pham Quoc Du, middle blocker Che Quoc Vo Lit also made great contributions to help Ho Chi Minh City Police win the bronze medal in the first year of promotion. It can be said that the good performance of the players in the colors of Border Guard, Tan Cang Sports and Ho Chi Minh City Police in the National Championship is a very positive signal for the men's team in the upcoming training session to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
In the women's group, both VTV Binh Dien Long An and LPBank Ninh Binh were missing important pillars, but they both overcame strong opponents to reach the final. While VTV Binh Dien Long An was without main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy who was busy competing in Japan, LPBank Ninh Binh did not have the service of setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen due to personal reasons.
But with the remaining force, in addition to the addition of quality foreign players, these two teams ended the season with the highest positions. Vo Thi Kim Thoa and Nguyen Khanh Dang - two pillars of the national team, contributed greatly to helping VTV Binh Dien Long An win the championship, and were honored as the "Best Setter" and "Best Libero" of the tournament, respectively.
Other players such as middle blocker Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Trinh (LPBank Ninh Binh), setter Lam Oanh, main blocker Nguyen Thi Phuong, opposite blocker Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh (Information Corps), main blocker Nguyen Thi Uyen (Thai Binh)... also maintained their form and made outstanding contributions to help the home team achieve good results in this year's tournament.
Prepare thoroughly
This year, the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation have assigned the two teams, the men's and women's, the target of reaching the final of the 33rd SEA Games. Experts say this is not an easy goal for the coaching staff and the players, but it is also an opportunity for them to show themselves, ready to face difficulties and pressure. Therefore, the preparation stage in this stage is extremely important, deciding success or failure.
The Vietnamese men's team will face many challenges in their quest to reach the final match of the regional tournament. In addition to host Thailand, there is still Indonesia - the number 1 team in the region. The Philippines is also a formidable opponent, their performance at the World Championship in September said it all. Besides, Cambodia and Myanmar are also very difficult teams.
In the 2 SEA V.League rounds in July, the Vietnamese team competed with Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia. As a result, the team won bronze medal in round 1 and silver medal in round 2. However, the upcoming matches at SEA Games 33 are predicted to be more unpredictable, so the team will have to be well-prepared and focus on the competition.
In the last 3 SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team reached the final and lost to Thailand. Historically, the team has never won the highest medal of the regional tournament. However, with professional development and the current good force, the Vietnamese women's team is expected to create a surprise to get the best position at the year-end tournament.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team defeated Thailand to win the second round of the SEA V.League in July. But the 33rd SEA Games will certainly be a much bigger challenge as the team will have to play on the opponent's field and will be without their opponent Bich Tuyen. Therefore, the most important thing for the Vietnamese women's team in the upcoming meeting is to quickly stabilize the squad, take advantage of the youth of new faces and maximize the spirit of solidarity - a factor that has always been a traditional strength.
SEA Games 33 will not be an easy journey, but it is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese female players to prove their mettle when they no longer depend on a star. If they know how to turn difficulties into motivation, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team can completely continue to nurture the hope of realizing the golden dream that Vietnamese women's volleyball has been waiting for for so long.
