Cu Jut launched an action month to prevent and combat drugs

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Vu Van Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Jut district, called on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and all people to join hands in the fight against drugs, gradually pushing drug criminals out of the community, contributing to bringing a peaceful life to the people.

Representatives of the authorities of communes, towns and youth of Cu Jut district also responded and promised to have positive solutions to demonstrate determination to implement and mobilize all forces to participate, resolutely fight against all types of crimes, especially drug crimes to curb social evils, ensure security and order in the district.

At the end of the ceremony, delegates and people took to the streets to march and propagate drug prevention along the main roads of the district to raise people's awareness of the harmful effects of drugs on each person and the whole society.

Recently, the situation of crime and drug abuse in Cu Jut district has had many complicated developments; the subjects buying, selling, storing, and illegally using drugs are mostly young people and drug addicts and some freelance workers. In the first 6 months of 2023, Cu Jut district police have fought, destroyed, and discovered 17 cases, 32 subjects with acts of buying, selling, storing, and organizing illegal use of drugs...
