The 2023-2024 National Cup starts with a "shower" of goals

The three early matches of the first round of the 2023-2024 National Cup took place on the afternoon of November 24 with the opening match of 5 teams competing in the First Division. With stable performance, Long An and Quang Nam both won by a large margin, while Ba Ria-Vung Tau continued to decline when they were eliminated early at home.

Playing at home with a better squad of players competing in the V-League, Quang Nam won 4-1 against Hoa Binh . In the 33rd minute, the away team unexpectedly scored a goal to take the lead from Anh Tu. But the pressure from Quang Nam helped the home team successfully reverse the score to win 4-1. In the 59th minute, Tang Tien equalized 1-1, and this same striker scored the goal to increase the score for the Quang team 5 minutes later.

Feeling more comfortable mentally when leading, Quang Nam increased the pressure at the end of the match and Dinh Bac and Hoang Vu Samson scored in turn to seal a 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile, at Phu Tho Stadium, the home team surprisingly lost to Long An with a score difference of 2-5 thanks to a double from striker Thanh Phong. The remaining match took place at Dong Nai Stadium, the home team easily won the ticket to the next round after beating Ba Ria-Vung Tau 2-0.

November 26: SLNA – Dong Thap, Khanh Hoa – Ha Tinh, Binh Phuoc – Nam Dinh
