“I will bring to this remarkable new channel my honest views on everything from Russia to China, the war in Ukraine, how we deal with all those challenges, to the huge opportunities that lie ahead,” Mr. Johnson said on X.

GB News said Mr Johnson would serve as a presenter, programmer and commentator starting in early 2024 and would play a key role in covering the UK's next national election, due next year, as well as the US elections.
The channel, which launched in 2021 with a mix of news, opinion and analysis similar to America's Fox News, has been ruled by the UK's broadcasting watchdog to have breached impartiality rules on several occasions.
Mr Johnson, the main political leader behind the Brexit movement, became prime minister in 2019 and won a large majority in an election later that year. But he stepped down in 2022 after a series of scandals cost him the support of many Conservative lawmakers.
Mr Johnson, who worked as a journalist before entering politics, began writing a column for the Daily Mail in June this year.
