With modern infrastructure and a diverse tourism ecosystem, Da Nang is strongly transforming towards smart tourism, applying digital technology to promote destinations, analyze tourist behavior and optimize communication strategies.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the number of international visitors to the city reached about 5.8 million in the first 9 months of 2025, an increase of more than 31% over the same period. This signal shows that the city is strongly recovering tourism after expanding air connectivity.
However, to improve competitiveness, Da Nang has identified digital transformation as a key tool for tourism development, aiming to become the leading smart destination in Southeast Asia. The city also pays special attention to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market - Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which have a great demand for Southeast Asian tourism.
Accordingly, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yango Ads, an advertising technology (AdTech) platform of Yango Group. The goal of the agreement is to promote Da Nang in the CIS market through digital media campaigns based on data and artificial intelligence.

Under the cooperation, the two sides will coordinate to design data-driven advertising campaigns, research tourist behavior, and organize digital marketing training for local businesses. Yango Ads currently offers more than 600 advanced targeting options, helping to personalize advertising messages and measure effectiveness at every stage of the travel journey, from awareness to booking.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, affirmed: “Applying modern advertising technology will help Da Nang increase its visibility and connect more deeply with international tourists, especially from the CIS market, an area with a lot of potential but not yet fully exploited.”
“Tourism starts with impressions. Our goal is to help Da Nang turn those impressions into visitors, through data, technology and creativity,” said Ms. Thu Nguyen, Business Development Director of Yango Ads Vietnam.
This cooperation is expected to help Da Nang sustainably increase the number of international visitors, while promoting digital transformation throughout the tourism industry, making the city a model of smart destination in the region.
