At Bach Hoa Xanh stores and mini supermarkets in Hoa Khanh ward, hundreds of people lined up to buy food to stock up for the upcoming stormy days. Meat, fish, shrimp, egg stalls were always overloaded, many items sold out early. Vegetable stalls and dry food stalls such as instant noodles, pho, hu tieu, etc. were also constantly sold out.

Hoa Khanh Ward is an area that is often flooded, so people are more proactive in storing food and drinking water.

“Hearing the storm and heavy rain forecast, I rushed to buy supplies after work. Some items ran out early so I had to visit many stores to get enough,” said Ms. Tran Thanh Ngan (Hoa Khanh ward).

According to forecasts, from the night of October 22 to October 27, Da Nang will have very heavy rain over a wide area, with total rainfall ranging from 350-600mm, with some places over 800mm.
Facing the risk of flooding, landslides and local power outages, the People's Committee of Da Nang City recommends that people proactively stock up on food and necessities for at least 3 days to cope with prolonged rain and flooding.
