Delegates of Ninh Binh province attended the 2023 National Conference on Commending Typical and Advanced Examples in the Cultural Field

On the afternoon of August 28, 2023, a delegation of Ninh Binh province, including 05 comrades representing outstanding individuals in implementing and organizing cultural work in the province, attended the Conference to commend typical advanced examples in the field of culture nationwide in 2023 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2023 at the National Convention Center, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi.

Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister gave a speech at the Conference

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: “Talking about culture means talking about people. Vietnamese culture has been formed, preserved and developed over thousands of years of history of building and defending the country, creating the Vietnamese soul, spirit and mettle, making the glorious history of the nation shine…” The Prime Minister said that our Party and State have identified culture as the spiritual foundation of society, both the goal and the driving force for socio -economic development. “Culture lights the way for the nation, culture is national identity, if culture remains, the nation remains, if culture is lost, the nation is lost. Culture is the spiritual foundation, the endogenous resource, the driving force for breakthrough development. Culture has a profound national identity, culture develops on the basis of science and technology as well as practical conditions. Culture must be enjoyed and motivate and inspire all our people. Culture is the quintessence, the essence, the core of the nation, of society and of each person….”

In the Conference program, Party and State leaders, delegates representing agencies and localities had the opportunity to exchange and discuss to evaluate the emulation movement of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in recent times; evaluate the implementation process of 6 tasks and 4 solutions to build and develop Vietnamese culture and people in the new period according to the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference in 2021...; thereby, have deeper, more complete and comprehensive awareness of the especially important role and position of culture in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, thereby actively promoting cultural values, towards building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, creating a driving force to realize the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country. In particular, the Conference listened to the congratulatory letter of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong recognizing the achievements of the entire Culture, Sports and Tourism sector in recent times.

Also at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of ministries and branches presented certificates of merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and noble awards to 5 groups and 73 typical advanced individuals of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector - representing the most beautiful flowers in the garden of thousands of good deeds of the emulation movement of the Culture sector nationwide. Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports was honored to be one of 78 typical examples nationwide, receiving certificates of merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism./.
