The 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hue City Le Truong Luu spoke at the preparatory session.

This is an important political event, a broad political activity, demonstrating the will and development aspirations of the Party Committee and receiving special attention from a large number of cadres, party members and people in the city.

Thoroughly grasping the purpose, requirements and content of the congress, comrade Le Truong Luu, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council, emphasized: The congress is held in the context that the entire Party, people and army are making efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, striving to successfully implement the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress.

This congress has the task of evaluating the implementation results of the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress and the development plan for the 2020-2025 period; at the same time, setting out goals, tasks and solutions for the new term. Therefore, the organization of the congress must ensure the spirit of innovation, practicality, quality, promoting democracy, strengthening solidarity, safety and thrift; demonstrating the intelligence and high responsibility of the delegates.

Comrade Le Truong Luu said: The Congress will focus on discussing and contributing opinions to the documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress and the draft action program of the City Party Committee. The focus is to correctly assess the implementation of the Resolution of the 16th Party Congress of the City Party Committee; point out the advantages, limitations, causes and draw lessons; clearly define the goals, tasks and solutions for the coming term; focus on important, urgent and strategic issues for the development of the locality; propose viewpoints, policies and development orientations suitable to the new situation.

The congress elected a 15-member Presidium to run the congress.

The Congress will elect the City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring the quantity, quality and reasonable structure, inheritance and development. The selected comrades must be exemplary cadres, with qualities, capacity and health, meeting the requirements of leadership and direction. The Congress will also elect a delegation representing the intelligence, will and aspirations of all city Party members to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Comrade Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu suggested: Each delegate needs to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy and intelligence, and contribute many profound and practical opinions to ensure the success of the congress.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Development", the 17th Hue City Party Congress has the theme: Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of the entire people; promoting innovation, mobilizing all resources, creating breakthroughs in socio -economic development, maintaining national defense and security; building Hue city to develop in the direction of green - smart - rich in identity.

On the first working day, the congress elected a Presidium of 15 comrades, a Secretariat of 3 comrades, and a Congress Delegate Qualification Examination Committee of 7 comrades; approved the official program and working regulations of the congress; disseminated election regulations; and reported on the synthesis of opinions on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Speaking at the closing session of the preparatory session, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu said: After an urgent and serious working session, with a high sense of responsibility, the preparatory session of the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, completed all the contents according to the proposed program.

Before the preparatory meeting, the Standing Committee of the Hue City Party Committee, 16th term, and heads of delegations attending the congress offered flowers to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

Tomorrow morning (October 3), the official session of the 17th Hue City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, will open at the Huong River Theater.
